Customer who had patronized the Steamworks Bathhouse in Edmonton has been involved in a hit and run accident. It happened right outside the Steamworks building.

Captured on security photographs, a man was filmed entering the bathhouse at 2 AM on July 20. At around 4:24 AM the same man left the premises, got into his BMW X6 and proceeded to drive into a man who was sleeping on the street.

This man was pushed and dragged by the vehicle, but fortunately only suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

This week the man has turned himself in. 28-year-old Tam Van Ho has been charged with failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He has been released on the promise to appear in court for his arraignment.

Steamworks Edmonton opened in 2003 and have served Edmonton and Northern Alberta’s gay and bisexual men seeking men community with Pride. In 2015 this bathhouse introduced Co-ed night inviting women to also utilize the facilities. Though the focus remains with meeting the needs of their male clientele they have had success with their Co-ed venture and now are expanding on it to include even more people
