Australian transport minister David Campbell has resigned after being secretly filmed leaving the gay sauna Kens at Kensington. Apparently he had been living a double life for 20 years. No surprise for most of us to go to the tubs.

One in five men are either openly gay or leading secret double lives. As all of us have seen our share of closeted, married men over the years.

So instead of rehashing this story, let’s focus on the gay sauna that David Campbell allegedly visited, pictured below

Kens at Kensington is one of a handful of gay sex venues offering a dedicated space for men to meet and have sex with other men.

A $22 entry fee covers two towels and access to the sauna, spa, steam room and swimming pool for up to 12 hours. Additional towels attract a $1 fee which is donated to a charity in Cambodia.

As a wet venue, clients are expected to undress, don a towel and put away their mobile phone. Friday nights are towel-free.

There are meeting and cruising areas, rest areas, coffee lounge, internet access and a porn lounge. It also has several cubicles with mattresses and for those looking for something a little more risque, there are themed rooms – sling room, dark room, barber’s chair – and areas with holes in the walls.
