In your dreams, but we can all dream right? Well how about the closest thing.
The cabaret show “Bette & Barry: Back to the Bathhouse” tries to recreate those steamy nights. Featuring tribute artists Donna Maxon (playing Bette Midler) and Fonda Feingold (as Barry Manilow)
Sounds like a fantastic night out! Who wouldn’t enjoy Bette Midler tunes from the 70s? They even sing some of her hits from the 80s and 90s!
As Donna Maxon says
“We do explore other periods that were important to Bette and Barry’s relationship and career,” says Maxon, whose set list includes later Midler hits like “Wind Beneath My Wings.”
“But the show is set at the Continental Baths, and it does focus mostly on that time and that music. For instance, we do a tribute to [1972 album] ‘The Divine Miss M’ with ‘Leader of the Pack,’ ‘Superstar’ and ‘Delta Dawn.’ ”
